The Riverina District of South Eastern Australia has rapidly gained a reputation for producing high quality Botrytis affected grapes. The favorable climatic conditions which provided ideal circumstances for the mould Botrytis Cineria (Noble Rot) to flourish and resulted in the grapes reaching optimum maturity with rich, concentrated flavours, whilst retaining a high level of natural acidity.
The wine is a unique style and is a vibrant deep gold in appearance.
The bouquet explodes with honey, peach, fruit salad and Botrytis aromas. It is rich and floral.
The palate displays complex honeyed and peach flavours and Botrytis characters, balancing the lusciously sweet fruit and crisp fresh acidity resulting in a clean non-cloying finish.
An outstanding style dessert wine made in the traditional French Sauterne technique which will continue to gain even greater complexity with careful cellaring over the next 4 to 8 years to reach its peak of development.
An ideal accompaniment to fresh fruit desserts and sticky date pudding or enjoy chilled as an after dinner drink.
